David Philip Witkus

December 2, 1955 - May 10, 2024

David Philip Witkus. Beloved son of the late Damien Peter and Shirley J Witkus. Loving brother of Damien Peter Witkus Jr., Douglas P (Jane) Witkus, Donald P (Lorraine) Witkus, Mary (Mike) Hill, Laura Malizio, Peggy Witkus, Daniel P Witkus, and the late Therese Witkus. Cherished father of the late Stephen Witkus. Dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews and cousin of many. Formerly of Henry, Illinois, David has many friends who will also miss him dearly.

As a retired Local 150 Operating Engineer and a Proud US Army Veteran, he was also an avid automotive and Harley Davidson enthusiast in his well deserved free time.

David will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with US Army Honors on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 9:30am.

For those who will be attending the committal, please arrive at the Welcome Center at the cemetery by 9:15am, at 20953 W Hoff Road, Elwood, IL.

In Lieu of flowers, donations in David's name to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
