Of Ross Twp., formerly of Garfield, on Monday, March 26, 2018, age 69. Beloved husband of Nancy J. (Novosel) Wittig; father of Jennifer Nurmi (fiancé Stephen Manukas) and Renee Williams (Brett); "Pap pap" of Kelsey Cunningham (Tony), Allison and Morgan Nurmi and Ashley and Maddie Williams; brother of Ronald Wittig (Kay), and the late Robert Wittig (survived by Carol) and Thomas Wittig; also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends received at McCABE BROS., INC. FUNERAL HOME, 5300 Penn Avenue, Bloomfield on Saturday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Sunday 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Maria Goretti Church, Immaculate Conception Mission, on Monday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Dave's name to St. Lawrence O'Toole Mission Food Bank c/o St. Maria Goretti Parish, 4712 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15224, or North Hills Backpack Initiative, 53 Rochester Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Please accept our si ncere condolences on Dave's passing. I will always remember Nancy and Dave's great kindness shown to our family. He has left a strong legacy in his children and grandchildren.
