Dave was the first person I met when I moved to Naperville. I remember him riding in circles on his Raleigh bike in front of my house. I really wish I could have been at the memorial in Naperville. The entire Wollaston family was always so kind.
One winter, we turned a bike into a "snow bike" in Dave´s basement. We strapped a cross-country ski to the front and downhill skis to the back. Since nothing articulated, it was basically a death trap going downhill. It did move fast, but with a high center of gravity, turning or stopping wasn´t really an option. Still, we had so much fun.
This is for Mr. Wollaston. Dave always wore a jacket to dinner, but not because he was cold. The Wollastons were very healthy eaters, and Dave would secretly stuff his salad into his jacket pockets so he wouldn´t have to eat it.
Dave was a wonderful friend-loyal, kind, and generous to a fault. He would have given you anything he had. He will truly be missed.
