My cousin’s angel. Every time a saw him he had a smile, a big beautiful smile. He definitely was a good person, and he loved his mom so very much.

We planned a whole BBQ with guitar hero night. It was sooo much fun.

David & I always kept in touch by sending silly memes to each other as we had the same sense of humor & even though we were in different states I knew we were still laughing together. I will miss his smile but I know we will laugh again together in Heaven.

David was a big part of my childhood. He, along with my sister, was one of the strongest early influences in my passion for basketball. He was my brothers buddy, but he would just show up at our house and call me outside so we could hoop. I have so many memories of Dave but those were the greatest. We'd drink water from the garden hose and keep playing until way after dark. He'd even stay for dinner and thank everyone no matter what was in front if him. He was always so excited, happy, and positive. We went on to have countless basketball memories, that I cherish even more, now.

My 7th grade year (Dave's 9th), he heard I wanted to try tennis. It was Sunday, and try-outs were Monday and Id never touched a racket prior. He offered to teach me to play and we arranged a time to meet. I arrived and he saw my shoes, and immediately said I "couldn't play tennis in those" and he ran to his house, grabbed me a pair of his Adidas superstar 2gs, and gave them to me. I offered them back afterwards, and he refused. He said I'd need them for try-outs. I went on to make the team, thanks to his coaching. His generosity and selflessness stuck with me forever. An afterthought much later: This was the single most kind, selfless gesture id experienced, that shaped who I became. I even remember him being teased for hanging out with me, but he did NOT care. He wanted to help me and didnt care what others thought.

I remember being included in sleepovers when he and my brother would hang out. Whether it was at his house, or ours, he always included me. I remember being in his den, passed bedtime, and I saw Jerry Springer for the first time. (Sorry, mom!) He made sure my brother and I had eaten, had something to drink, and then he went out to check on the miniature Doberman puppies they had.

There are so many more fond memories of Dave, and his positivity and character, but these are some of the strongest I remember of this forever missed individual; a true one-of-a-kind. Love you, brother.

His height! And then, his even bigger smile! He was truly a brother to my sons, and they loved him without measure. I remember how hard he and my boys (aka "The Service Call") would practice for hours. They were quite a team- the 3 of them put together a storage shed in my backyard. They worked so hard, and they laughed just as hard! I think of him every time I look at it. I will miss this precious young man until I see him again.
