DAVIS McDANIEL Obituary
GARRISON JOSEPH
"The Mayor of Children's Hospital, FI 9B", peacefully, on Saturday, July 7, 2012, age 10, of Pittsburgh. Garrison went home to be with his Heavenly Father and grandmother, Willa Mae McDaniel for eternity. He leaves behind his mother, Tangerine L. McDaniel and his father Gary L. Davis. He is the brother of Jaron, Garrett, Blessing and Essence, who is also his best friend; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Visitation Thursday 5-9 p.m. at the ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2025 Perrysville Avenue. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Destiny of Faith Church, 3737 Brighton Rd., N.S. "We were truly blessed by an angel!"

Godson I still think of you often. What an honor it is to have known you and to know you even still. You invited me in to your life and the irony of it all is I feel protected by you as your God father. I know you continue to look after my wife, your God mother, and check in on her with humor and rainbows. You guard my son, your God brother, who was named in your inspiration. I feel your protection extended to my whole my family. I sense you are ten feet tall up there, a stature to match your earthly goodness. I remember, people would stand up a little more straight when they would be in your presence. God was right next to you down here and now you are right in your place that God called you to. I remember your rounds on 9B, as you checked in on the other children and I know you do the same now on a celestial scale. I couldn´t have anticipated you, but isn´t that just how God works. Say hi to Willa Mae for me.

My daughter Jada and I met Garrison at children's hospital. They spent Valentines day together at the hospital and swapped Valentines. He was such a sweet kid and we had so much fun with him. The news of his death made our family very sad. Sorry for your lose, please know that we are praying for all his family and close friends. Can't wait to see him again in heaven!

I never met Garrison but I heard all about him from the Meadvilles. I have the picture of Dylan and Garrison dancing with the Cat in the Hat hanging on my fridge . It makes me smile . God be with you . J

We have only known Garrison for a short while, but we have a lifetime of memories. His laugh was infectious, his smile was contagious. He brightened everyone's day and touched so many lives. He will be out of our sight, but forever in our hearts. We loved him like our own.
