News Death Notice
BURKE, Dawn April Age 39 passed away Tuesday September 15, 2015. Dawn was born April 25, 1976 in Hamilton Ohio to Donald and Linda (Collopy) Burke. Dawn was a sweet and caring person, thoughtful to a fault. She was a very giving and loving daughter, mother, sister, niece, aunt and friend. Dawn is survived by her mother Linda (Collopy) Shockey, stepfather Ladd W Shockey, stepmother Teri (Kinch) Burke, daughters Dawna Rae Burke, Tuesday Burke and Melody Burke, sons Michael Murray Jr. and Douglas Burke, brothers Laddie Shockey, Joey Shockey and Donald Wayne Burke Jr., grandmother Revona Burke, soon to be granddaughter Izzabel Rae Adams, fiancé Kevin Guffey and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Donald Wayne Burke Sr., brother Sean Shockey, grandmothers Patchie Collopy, Ruth Shockey and Doris Kinch, grandfathers Robert Collopy, Jack Burke and Mel Kinch. Cremation was held. A celebration of life will be held on October 4th 1:00 pm at Millikin Woods shelter 14. Friends are welcome to join us as we remember Dawn April and the life's that she touched.

Linda, I grew up on South B Street,(older sister of Lisa Gray)and knew all of the Colopy's. They were and are all wonderful people. Their have been so many tragedies in the Colopy family, and I can't even imagine the grief you are under right now.

I've known Dawn since kindergarten. We wr best friends from the age of 5, til bout 19-20. For the last 19 years our lives just took us in different directions, but we always knew we wr jst a phone call away. God has truly gained an Angel!! Love you Dawn and already miss ya!!!
