Dawn M. Holt

1949-2013

OAKLAND - Dawn M. Holt, 64, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

She was born in Waterville on July 16, 1949, the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Bouchard) Roux Jr.

A long-time resident of Waterville, Dawn worked as a personal care attendant in home health care for various local businesses.

Dawn's activities outside of work were spending time with her family and friends. She was involved in the Christmas tree for needy children, and was an active supporter of the military.

Dawn was married to Robert Emery and Russell Holt before meeting her long-time partner, Terri Stratton. She and Terri have been together for 36 years.

Besides Terri, she is survived by two sons, Richard Emery, of Waterville, and Russell Holt, of Portland; two daughters, Peggy and Michelle Emery, both of Bangor; a brother, Joseph Boivin; five grandchildren, Chelsea, Dillon, Tristan, Devin and Carter; a great-granddaughter, Isabella. Dawn had a special place in her heart for Tristan's brother Christopher "Dupe" and their mother Jessica and her fiance Rafa.

The family would like to offer a special thank-you to Michael Stuart and wife Wendy and Donny Tozier and girlfriend Noel for their caring help when it was most needed. Also to the critical care team at Maine Medical for making her last days meaningful. There will be a celebration of Dawn's life for all who knew her from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 5, 2014 at the Waterville Grand Hotel (formerly Howard Johnson) Upper Main Street, Waterville.
