Dawn Eleanor (nee Davia) Hopkins
of Merrillville, formerly of Dolton, Illinois
Dawn Eleanor Hopkins, age 75, of Merrillville passed away on February 25, 2018.
Dawn was born to the late Leo and Eleanor (nee Jambrick) Davia. Also preceding her in death is her sister, Sharon Dudzik.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cheryl (Israel) Romero, Dana Hopkins, Chuck Hopkins, and Darren (Cheri) Hopkins. Grandchildren, Ryan Kausal, Tyler Hopkins, Darren Hopkins Jr., Hannah Hopkins; great grandson, Gavin Kausal; many nieces and nephews; and several dear friends. Also survived by her fur babies Cami and Misti.
After several years working in the restaurant business, Dawn retired from Comcast as a customer service representative. Dawn enjoyed many activities while living at Village Green Active Senior Living, such as bingo, art class, and socializing every Friday evening with her friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home (9039 Kleinman Rd.; Highland, IN 46322). Funeral services will be Friday, March 2, 2018 at 11:00 am with Fr. Stephan Kosinski officiating.
