Dawnella Guidroz Obituary

houma - **Dawnella Lynn "Dawn" Guidroz**, age 53, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, in Houma, Louisiana. Born on January 25, 1972, in Houma, she remained a lifelong resident of the community that shaped her and that she so deeply loved. Dawn was a woman of strength, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. Her life was centered around those she held dear-especially her cherished grandchildren. She is survived by her two beautiful grandchildren, Jackson and Embre Bone, who brought immense joy to her life. Her loving parents, Eugene L. Guidroz Jr. and Connie Fanguy Guidroz, were a constant source of support and pride throughout her journey. She also leaves behind a devoted family who will carry forward her memory: brothers Eugene L. Guidroz III and Rene Guidroz with his wife Sunshine Hebert Guidroz; sisters Rebecca Lynn Guidroz Fonseca and husband Kevin Fonseca, Jamie Guidroz, and Amanda Guidroz Pelligrin with husband Bruce Pelligrin. Each shared in the laughter, love, and memories that defined Dawn's life. Dawn was preceded in death by her beloved grandbaby Davin Bone; grandparents Eugene Guidroz Sr., Una Ruth Bergeron Guidroz Oubre, V.J. Oubre; Dudley and Shirly (Hebert) Fanguy; great-grandparents Joseph and Emsie (Engeron) Bergeron Sr.; James and Leona (Marcel) Hebert; and Sylvester and Mary (Naquin) Fanguy. Those fortunate enough to know Dawn remember her as a beacon of kindness whose infectious laugh and beautiful smile could light up any room. She had a generous heart and an enduring spirit-always ready to offer comfort or share a home-cooked meal from her kitchen. A talented cook with a love for flowers, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life and gave freely of herself to those around her. Her legacy is one of resilience and compassion. Dawn was a fighter who faced life's challenges with grace and courage. She believed deeply in the power of love, family, faith-and looked forward to the day when all would be reunited in peace within God's Kingdom. Though she is no longer with us in body, Dawn will forever remain in our hearts. We will always remember the sweet soul we knew-the laughter shared, the memories made-and hold close the hope of reunion in eternal peace. Rest well until the return of our Lord and Savior. You are missed deeply and loved always.
