Dawson Bechtold Obituary
On Saturday, August 26, 2017 Dawson Bechtold passed away peacefully. She was the beloved wife of Donald Bechtold for 67 years and loving mother of Barbara Krajnik, Jean Pallett and Don, Jr. Dawson was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Dawson served the community as a teacher for more than 20 years. Upon retirement, she continued to give to the community through numerous charities that served the weak and suffering. She started a Prayer Shawl Ministry at her church and participated in the Project Linus organization. As a lifelong lover of all things aquatic, Dawson enjoyed sailing and swimming. Her swimming instruction over the years is responsible for the swimming ability of many in the Severna Park area. She will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday August 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Rd., Severna Park, MD 21146.
