LEDGERWOOD, Lloyd Duncan - May 10, 1921 - December 22, 2011 Lloyd of Belle River, Ontario passed away peacefully in his 91st year with his family by his side at the Windsor Regional Hospital. Beloved husband of Edna Ledgerwood for 68 ½ years. Cherished father of Bob (Lucille) and Linda (Martin). Proud grandfather of David, Lorraine, Bryan, Jeffrey and Janine. Caring great-grandfather of Jacob, Carissa, Justin, Alex, Katrina, Celine, Amaya, Taliah and D.J. Born in Verdun, Quebec, Lloyd moved to Toronto at the age of 15 after the death of his father. He met Edna in 1941 at the Palais Royal Dance Hall and they were married in 1943. Lloyd proudly served in the R.C.A.F. during WWII. His favourite pastime was being surrounded by his family. Friends may call at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

I am the daughter of Jean & Ralph Robinson who lived @ 21 Balfour in Toronto until we moved to Windsor in 1952.I remember your Mom & Dad and Bobby when we used to visit the Sutherlands Hilda Andy Ron And Barry.My Family & I send you our prayers in your Time of Sorrow.

I was shocked to hear about Lloyd.
He was a great gentleman (one of true sense of the word). I remember him the love of fishing & maybe he'll catch the big one that got away.
I will be there on Saturday - rest in peace!

Although we only knew Lloyd for a few years, we quickly came to appreciate his youthful spirit, his many funny stories of his life adventures including much travel and accounts of his war experiences.
Lloyd will be missed.
