Dean Reynolds Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 3, 2022.
Dean Reynolds born October 25, 1949 passed peacefully July 30, 2022. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Mary (Biedenbender) Reynolds.

Dean was a lifelong resident of Cincinnati, OH where he retired from General Electric after 32 years. By day he was a skilled tradesmen but at night and the weekend he and his wife of 29 years Pattie lived their dream by traveling the country with many great musicians, even spending their honeymoon touring with The Allman Brothers Band.

Dean was a gifted photographer and writer. He wrote and published his book on The Allman Brothers Band and photographed many musicians that were befriended over the years. Dean never met a stranger and his sense of humor, laugh, smile and love of animals will always be remembered by those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Pattie (Coyle), stepdaughter Kim Carlin, sister-in-law Pam (Tony) Gribi, sisters Stephanie Timmons (Jim Bills), Sherry (Ron) Allerton and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet Tittle and loyal canine companion, Malcolm who was by his side throughout his lengthy illness.

The family would like to thank O.H.C. and the care team of Queen City hospice for their care and compassion. No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local animal shelter.

I always had a post-it by my phone with Dean's phone number on it ever since I first saw a message about tape trading on Mole's literal message board at short Vine, Clifton.

I had just moved to Hamilton and was working at Mosler Safe Co and attending UC in at night. Always talking with me about our latest tapes.
He got hired by GE and suggested I apply too. I did apply and got hired.

That turned out to be my dream job, though also frustrating. Thank you dear friend for thinking of me.

Dean was also the very first person to call me when he saw news about Jessica the night she died. I regret not getting back in touch during our long recovery and aftermath.

I would occasionally see Dean in the Evendale plant and always kept my eye open for ABB stickers.

I helped with the editing of Deano's great labor of love, "The Complete Allman Brothers Discography". I was used to Windows, he wanted/needed full self publishing in Apple. A worthy end product that I am proud to have been a part of.

I will always cherish our bonds.
