In memory of
Candie Rievel
February 6, 2008
I had the privilege of being raised by a wonderful, caring man. In adulthood, a friend. I will keep our "secrets" close to my heart and your words of wisdom I'll treasure. I have peace knowing you are no longer suffering and struggling to breathe. I know you hated to leave us, but I also know you were ready. Even though we can't verbally communicate, I know you'll still talk to me somehow, and you'll always be in my heart.

Sorry to hear of Dean's death. We were kept informed of his health by Dean Jr. who sings in our choir, here in Ligonier. Our prayers go out to the entire family.

I keep telling myself that you went to better place, and that you are able to breathe now, but that doesn't make me miss you any less, I enjoyed every minute/day we've spent together, we've gotten pretty close over the past two years, i will never forget the good times we've had together as a family with you. You've lived a full life and there is no doubt in my mind you are in heaven, watch over us and keep us safe, i love you

I am very sorry for your loss. Dean was my husband's barber for many years, clear to Harry's death. He came to our home two days before Harry passed to give him his last hair cut. I will always remember Dean and the big heart that he had.

A sad farewell to the last of my four brothers. May he rest in peace as he is reunited with those who have gone before.

I'll always remember Dean's friendliness and humor, both at the barber school and later at his barbershop. When I and my family lived in Richland Township (until May 1997), Dean gave my newly adopted son his first haircut in 1985. I marveled at his skill and patience. I always felt that the best haircuts I ever received were from Dean. I can still remember that silver Christmas tree he had at his shop. You have my deepest sympathy.
