Dean Sparling

Dean Leonard Sparling, 74, passed away on February 9, 2025, in Guyton, Georgia.

Born on October 29, 1950, in Trenton, New Jersey, Dean built a life defined by hard work, deep friendships, and an unmistakable sense of humor. A skilled stone mason, he spent nearly four decades in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where his craftsmanship left a lasting mark on the community. His work was more than just a profession-it was a testament to his dedication and artistry. The many people he met along the way enriched his life as much as he did theirs, filling his heart with cherished memories.

Dean shared an extraordinary bond with his wife, Lynn Sparling. Their journey together spanned 40 years of friendship, 37 years as life partners, and 31 years of marriage-a love story built on laughter, resilience, and unwavering companionship.

He leaves behind his wife, Lynn and his beloved daughters, Mary Sparling and Deanna Sparling-the "sparkles of his eyes" -as well as Mary's fiancé Jason Kerzie and Deanna's partner, Ryan Clare. His family includes Elaine Manion, John Manion, Joyce Manion Yaccarino, Beth and John Duke (Sarah Duke, Olivia Duke-Perillo, and Jack Duke), Jill Manion and Ava Farrar with the Conover Family (Betty, Deb, Sue, and Barb), and other friends and family who held him dear.

To know Dean was to love him-or perhaps to want to strangle him-but always to appreciate the unique presence he brought into every room. His wit was sharp, his spirit unyielding, and his impact undeniable.

A memorial gathering will be held on October 16, 2025, at the Lumberville Walking Bridge on River Road in Lumberville, Pennsylvania. The casting ceremony will take place from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a celebration of life at the Black Bass Hotel.
