Dean Rasband Walgren Dean Rasband Walgren, age 74, was born on July 31, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah and passed away June 27, 2006, while on vacation in San Diego. Dean was a devoted husband to wife Gloria of 27 years and loving father to daughter, Jennifer Lynn Friley (Cypress) and son Dean Earl W algren New Jersey). He was preceded in death by son, Darren Hansen Walgren. Dean leaves behind his wife, Gloria; daughter, Jennifer; son, Dean; and grandchildren, Alyssa, Ashley, Matthew & Meagan. Dean worked for McDonnell Douglas for 43 years, retiring April 30, 1994. He was an active member of the L-4 Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a Bishop for over 5 years and worked with his sweetheart Gloria in the Los Angeles Temple for 7 years. He served in the United States Nav y, loved golf and sports of any type. Dean thoroughly enjoyed the "journey of life"; he was dearly loved and will surely be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, July 1, 2006, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 17660 Carpintero, Bellflower, CA 90706. The viewing will be on Saturday at 10am. Flowers can be sent to the church Saturday morning. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier.
