DeAnn (Kuenzi) Bryan

March 3, 1955 - February 23, 2016

Salem - DeAnn (Kuenzi) Bryan passed away February 23, 2016, from complications of Alzheimer's after fighting a brave six year battle against this debilitating disease. DeAnn was born in Silverton, Oregon to parents Don and Loretta Kuenzi. She was raised on the family farm in Central Howell, the youngest of five children. After graduating from Silverton High School, she attended the Police Academy in Monmouth and worked with the Marion County Sheriff Department. She worked at Kmart, at various Roth's bakeries and as a merchandiser for Hallmark Cards. Throughout those years, she was married to John Bryan for 22 years and had a daughter, Amelia. DeAnn was at every game, recital, and any other event Amelia was involved in. She was a mother and sister to many. DeAnn was always helping others with a smile on her face and she never failed to know what was going on around her. With her heart of gold, infectious laugh and warm hug she could brighten up anyone's day.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Boyd Kuenzi. She is survived by her brothers, Clyde (Gloria) Kuenzi of Detroit, Oregon; Lowell Kuenzi also of Detroit; Deuane (Karen) Kuenzi of Rohnert Park, California; Daughter Amelia (Kevin) Porter and granddaughter Mihya. A celebration of her life will be held April 23, 11:00 A.M. at the Silverton First Christian Church, 402 N. First Street, Silverton, Oregon. Interment will be private. Assisting the family is Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
