I was at a business meeting when Mike called me, his voice cracking to tell me what had happened. I could not believe this. This didn't happen to such a wonderful woman, mom, friend, and wife.

We had so many things in common. Married the same amount of time, close to the same age (OK OK I was a little older) our sons 5 days apart in age and good friends. Our husbands short and stocky! Here are some of my favorite memories:

1.Superbowl Sunday at our house - Jeffrey's in potty training mode - he says the magic words , "I have to go pee-pee" you and I running to the bathroom with Jeffrey, him making it to the toilet (although a lot was on us):) Victory for potty training!!!

2. Las Vegas Golf Convention - we ditch the kids and hubbies - take a decadent lunch at the mall at Ceasars - and then can't hear each other for the roar of the damn fountains.

3. Reno - we decide to explore with husbands, see antique store and whoa........next to the antique mall - a naughty lady store with all sorts of "unusual things". What an experience!!

4. You made the BEST potato salad ever!!

5. You were ALWAYS perfectly groomed. How did you do that?? Looking beautiful all the time.

6. A loving Mom - Mothers Day 2001 - you mailed a card to me from Jeffrey saying "Happy Mothers Day" and that I was like a Mom to him. How unselfish and loving that was of you - I still have the card. While I thought it was so sweet of Jeffrey, I looked more to you that it was such a kind and loving thing for you to do for me!

I could go on and on, but I only choose to share a few memories of you - the rest are MINE to have. I love you and I miss you my dearest Debbie.
