I met Deborah many years ago at a MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) group held in our church in Kasson.
We had the same friends, home schooled at the same time, shared recipes, and she attended almost every event I held at my home and always invited me to hers.
One time I was having a Christmas party in 1991, I didn't have a nice dress, and she insisted that I wear a beautiful sapphire dress of hers.
I missed her when we moved to Arizona but she worked to maintain our friendship and contact and I visited when I came home. One time, I was really poor, and she handed me a beautiful change purse she'd picked up in Italy, and tucked a $100 bill in it. Always so thoughtful and generous!
I will miss her humor, laughter, and wisdom--but truly am looking forward to meeting with her again.
Love to you all.
