Debbie two years have now gone by and your absence is felt by so many. We talk of you often at our card making group aptly named the "cardiologists" by you. Some times it feels so long ago that you died and other times like yesterday. We miss you and send love your way as well as to all your family.

A year has done by since Debbie died and she is very much still apart of our card making group "The cardiologists" she named us. Hummingbirds (her special birds) keep coming to visit us in many different ways and places and always bring Debbie to mind. There is not a time together that we do not speak of Debbie. Each of us have our own special memories that we carry with us always. Best wishes to all her family and friends.
Love. Linda

Barry and I were so sorry to hear about Debbie. I remember her friendliness and vitality. When our boys first went to Trafalgar Debbie was a highly visible presence. The amount of work she did was amazing. She was always so involved and dedicated. Our thoughts and sympathy are with you all.

I was so sorry to hear about Debbie. I volunteered with Debbie on the Vancouver District Parent Advisory and on the board of B. C. Parents for Public Education. She was always positive and ready to do whatever she could to advocate for kids. She will be missed.

It is with great sadness that I convey my feelings about a gracious, kind and intelligent lady who exhibited the utmost integrity in all situations. It was a privilege to work with Debbie when she was the President of the District Parents' Advisory Council for the Vancouver School District.
Debbie worked tirelessly on district innovations that focussed on the best learning situations possible for our students. She was exceptionally well-respected by the Senior Management Team, and she will be remembered for her unselfish gift of her time to support others.
It truly was an honour to work with Debbie.
My thoughts are with her family.

I had the pleasure of working with Lauren and Ben as their teacher and Vice Principal at Trafalgar School and Deb was our Parent Advisory Committee Chair. Now as a Principal of many years, Deb I remember Deb fondly as one of the most altruistic, positive and dedicated parents with whom I've worked, someone who lived life joyfully with a "can do, will do" attitude. Her community was always front and center of everything she did or organized and the raffle baskets she lovingly crafted every year were highlights at that school! "Basket Debbie" set the bar of my hopes and expectations of future PAC chairs so very high. To Ron, Lauren, Ben and family, my thoughts and deepest condolences on your loss.

I'll miss your Friday morning hugs, your laughter, your humour and the way you remembered little things about us and made us feel so special during our time together

Debs was one of those rare individuals that you meet once in a lifetime. Always kind, gentle, elegant and full of optimism. She never had an unkind word to say of anyone. She brought out the best in you and made you feel special. The last few years of my life was made richer because of her. I shall miss her immeasurably but shall always treasure the few years of friendship we were blessed with.
May God welcome her home with His widespread open arms and grant her eternal happiness and rest. And may He hold her family close as they mourn their great loss.
Debs you taught me many things but your greatest gift was your unconditional love. I will always have that with me.
Until we meet again, rest in peace sweet Debs. Your smile is indelibly etched in my heart. XOX

Every once in awhile a special person comes into our lives and touches us in so many ways. Debbie was a ray of sunshine bringing light and love wherever she went. Her beautiful smile, her gorgeous eyes that sparkled when she talked of those and things she loved. Her generosity of spirit and genuine caring was felt by all. Debbie loved her volunteer work and her crafts especially card making and she will be missed. Debbie never complained or went on and on about her health issues but focused on living life. A true example of a life well lived. Debbie we miss you. Warm wishes and gentle hugs go out to the family and friends.

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone;
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort,
Without the ghost of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was;
There is absolutely unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval;
Somewhere very near just around the corner.
All is well.
