Went down to the beach this weekend with your sister, Petie, and your cousin, Georgia. We sure miss you.
Used your boots as dancing shoes at our son Luke´s wedding. They are still working well.

I am watching NCAA Women´s Championship between Iowa and So Carolina April 2024 and am moved to look up Deb Hunt . I met Deb in Fremont in 1976. She was coaching the Fremont HS Woman´s team and influencing those young women in a dozen positive ways. Met her wonderful parents once in Montague, saw Petie at CMU. Deb visited me in Boulder and encouraged me my first difficult semester there. I still have her photos taken at the Continental Divide. The sport and greater world was lessened by our loss. Three minutes remaining. She is certainly over the coach´s line right now in heaven.

I worked with Deb at Western from 1982 until 1988 as her assistant coach for the women’s track and field team. She was a very kind and good person who cared greatly about the young women on our team. We had great success with those teams because of her leadership and the great student-athletes that we recruited. I had not talked to her in a long time - I’m sorry I did not get a chance to say goodbye. I send my sincere condolences to her family, and I am so sorry I just found out about her passing now.

What a great coach Deb was. I was fortunate to have her and to go to State in track plus the Bball trophies we received with her guidance.
My deepest condolences to Petie & dear friend.
RIP Deb.

I haven't seen Deb or Lori (Petie to those of us from 4H days 50 years ago) since showing horses at the county fair in Ravenna or at the Montague Trail Blazers horse shows. Always a great family to have fun with & very good horsewomen. My condolences to the family.

I haven't seen Deb in over 40 years but she had a presence throughout my life. I considered her a friend and a great coach. She was so much fun! I am very saddened to hear of her passing. Seeing her picture brings back a lot of fond and cherished memories of my HS track days. My condolences to Deb's family and friends.

Growing up in the same community as Deb, you were aware of her athletic presence. She was a pioneer in the “Women’s Lib” movement just by being her strong self. I am sure she empowered many young people to achieve what they thought they couldn’t. A kinder soul you will never meet, she always asked about what was happening in your life and never made it about herself. Thank God she’s free.

Sweet Deb, “Oh How I will miss you my dear friend. From your “good morning darlin” to your welcoming kindness” and your radiant smile” You & Cathy are truly the most amazing family I’ve ever Known. So loving, so kind, so generous & most hospitable. I always felt like your family. Thank you for that lovely! .... Thank you for all the ways you showed me how to be sweeter, kinder, and more compassionate to have a gentle spirit despite the hardships of this life. You were the teacher and I was your student. Learning so much about inner integrity. I will forever cherish these life lessons. I promise you my dear friend I will care these attributes to everyone I know. As you once said to me.
“One can never be to kind”
Until we meet again!
Love Always your student.

I Remember an encouraging discussion she had with me on our way to a cross country meet. Coach Tompkins was unable to take us to this invitational so Miss Hunt stepped up. She told me how impressed and proud she was of me. Encounters like this stick with a kid and I appreciated her comments. Thanks Miss Hunt. RIP.

Deb was an amazing influence in my junior and senior high years. She taught me the importance of discipline, hard work and to value integrity and kindness. The inspirational quotes hanging in her office spoke often to my heart. I pray that she found the peace she was seeking through her many physical challenges during her later years. She leaves a legacy and imprint on many lives. God’s peace Coach Hunt.

So sorry to hear of Miss Hunts passing. She was one of my favorite teachers in Jr. & Sr. High school. She was a great person who shared her passion with others. I saw her 30 years after I graduated and she still remembered me by my first name. May her family find peace through this difficult time in the memories they hold dear in their hearts.
