Deborah, you were the best sister ever. You made me laugh, you taught me, you protected me and you loved me as I loved you to distraction. Be at peace and be free. I will miss you unbearably and will reach out to you daily. Hope you are in a place full of kittens, music, intelligent, funny people and
all our loved ones. Love you, Sassenach.

On this day the sun shines bright white light and it comes to mind The White Party, a summer afternoon all dressed in white you had to be to join in the fun in the sun in Deborah and John s backyard and frisbee on the beach and John catching a wayward toss from Jeremy running into the water in his white tux and laughing our way back home to eat red food only strawberries sangria and chilli leaving with a spot or two on our white garbs as we be human beings All .. Thank you for your giving cause for this memory and many joy filled others. Thank you for Being your wonderful self, Deborah.

Fondly remembering Deb and our early days of comedy together - The Second City Tour Co, & before that 'Acme Comedy' produced by Richard Dumont at Old Angelo's dinner theatre in the early 80's (photo). I loved Deb's laugh & her smart wit - so so sorry & sad she didn't have more time and more laughs.

We have lost a National treasure and a woman who was fierce in everything she attempted and did. Deb was so passionate about many things but I especially remember her and her husband John hosting their annual Oscar night parties. Invariably she would win the pool and she lived her life always striving for excellence. She was always the best performer on the stage but she remained humble and shy when she was complimented. How ironic that she passed on the morning of this year's Oscars. I'm sure she would have been tuning in to cheer on her favourites again.
She deserved her own golden statuette!

I will never forget THAT LOOK you would give me on almost every one of our off-stage or on-stage encounters whenever our eyes would meet... that, "Why don't you just give your head a shake?!" look.

Thank you for making me rattle it more times than I ever, ever admitted to you.

I can't believe the last time I saw you, was the last time I'll ever see you. You will be forever in my heart, dear friend.

I miss you terribly. I have no compass, and I don't know the way.
