Deborah Lynn Hamrick McMurry

Mrs. Deborah Lynn Hamrick McMurry, age 65 of Shelby, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband, Larry McMurry of the home, two children, Clint McMurry of Shelby, NC, and Eric McMurry and wife Summer of Arden, NC, four grandchildren, Aidan, Maelee, Joscelinn, and Lochlain McMurry, a brother, Nicky Hamrick and wife Mickie of Shelby, NC, and a niece, Kellie Taylor and husband Logan of Winston-Salem, NC. Born April 21, 1952 in Cleveland County, Deborah is the daughter of Daphine Callahan Hamrick and the late J.M. Hamrick. Deborah was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains and the beach, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Andy Oliver. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
