Deborah Rohrer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 28, 2022.
Deborah Sue Rohrer passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 17, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones in person or in their hearts. She was born to George and Margaret (Speer) Draper in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1965 in Denver. Deborah worked at May D&F in downtown Denver, as an office manager for Sentinel Newspapers, and retired from Adams County Sheriff's Department as a Community Service Officer. She sold gloves and purses at May D&F and became a collector of both. Deborah's exuberance for life and her love for all those around her endeared her to everyone she met. Deborah was active in the Masonic youth organization of Jobs Daughters and DeMolay. She was an avid Broncos fan and attended as many Colorado Rockies games as she could. Deborah enjoyed making handcrafted ceramics and hand sewn garments. She loved country dancing, church, quilling (not quilting), and knick-knacks, purses, gloves, and singing. Deborah very much loved her children and Dan's children - more than anything, as well as her dog, Hershey, and her bird, cockatiel, Pretty Bird. Deborah is survived by her husband, Dan; her children, Jeff, Stacey, and Mike; brother-in-law, John; nieces, Missy and Jenn; grandchildren, Harley and Courtney; and including Dan's children (6), grand children (9), and great grandchildren (5). She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Draper and her sister, Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, Deborah requested donations to Fremont Humane Society Adoption Center, 110 South Rhoades Avenue, Canon City, CO 81212. Services will be held at Holt Family Chapel of the Garden: 806 Macon Avenue, Canon City, CO on June 5, 2022 at 2pm. Burial will be at Fort Logan Nation Cemetery, June 8th at 1pm. Debra, Dan and I quickly became friends when Margaret came the the Vet's Home and I began cutting her hair. Deb and I laughed, cried and shared the love of Jesus in that shop. I miss Margaret. I miss Deb and I miss you, Dan. I will continue to ask Abba Father to heal your heart and the hearts of your family bringing comfort to each of you as He puts you on my heart. What a glorious day of rejoice you will have on that day when you are reunited with her!! Be blessed, my friend.
