Deborah Wells Obituary

Deborah Wells
Born: September 15, 1957
Died: April 28, 2025 in Elburn, IL
Deborah Lynn Wells, 67, of Elburn, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on Monday, April 28, 2025, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on September 15, 1957, in St. Charles, IL to Joan (VanHanxleden) Wells and Gale Wells. She was a devoted mother to Austin Dwiggins and a cherished sister to Chris, David and Michael (Tammy) Wells, as well as a beloved aunt to Brandon Vesel. Deb also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, including Thomas Dwiggins, as well as her no-nonsense canine protector, Sir Ziggy Longfellow.
For nearly two decades, Deb was a valued team member at Scholastic Corporation, in St. Charles, where she excelled at educational sales due to her dedication and positive spirit. Beyond the workplace, she had a naturally whimsical and artistic nature that found expression in many ways, including gardening and a passion for collecting vintage items. This passion led her to a business partnership with Frivolous Treasures, Inc., in Elburn, where she enjoyed showcasing and sharing her unique finds.
Deb will be remembered for a million things, most notably her sweet, humble nature, creative touches, love for gardening, shopping adventures and love for music. She had a quick wit and a zest for life that will be sorely missed.
Thank you to everyone who enriched Deb's life and cared for and about her.
A Celebration of Deb's life will be held at a later date.

l will miss Deb. l had worked with her at Scholastic. She was a hard worker and was very knowledgeable and successful at her job.
We shared many years together at work,
many laughs, potlucks, meetings, lunches, and she was the type that always was willing to help. She has left us all way too soon. She will be missed by so many.
We love you Deb.

Deb was a sweet, giving soul-someone whose kindness touched everyone she met. She was taken from us far too soon, but the warmth she brought into our lives will never be forgotten.

You will be remembered always for your compassion, your generosity, and the light you brought to the world.

Rest in peace, my dear friend.
