Deborah Ziebart

Deborah Ann "Debbie" Ziebart, age 65, of Veedersburg, Indiana, passed away on April 10, 2025, in Avon, Indiana. Born on December 26, 1959, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and the countless children whose lives she touched through decades of teaching and ministry.

Debbie was the daughter of Ernie Armstrong and Maxine (Estes) Armstrong. She grew up in Missouri and graduated from Carthage High School. Her passion for early childhood education led to a fulfilling 30-year career as a preschool teacher.

For 37 years, Debbie served faithfully alongside her husband as a loving pastor's wife. Together they ministered in numerous churches where Debbie played an active role in Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, youth groups, summer camps, and children's church.

Debbie was also known for her creativity and skill as a crafter. She especially enjoyed crocheting and quilting-arts that allowed her to create beautiful keepsakes for those she loved.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Dan Ziebart; her children Dawn (Grant) Old, Dixie (Georgy) Tsutsaeva; grandchildren Clara Old, TJ and Fedya Tsutsaev; her mother Maxine Armstrong; and her brother Dale (Chally) Armstrong.

A Celebration of Life will be held May 3, 2025 at Community Bible Baptist Church in Veedersburg from 1-4 pm. Friends are encouraged to bring stories of how they were touched by Debbie's life.
