Debra D. Grimes, age 57, of Parker, Arizona passed away at her home on Monday June 6, 2011. She was born February 2, 1954 in Winnemucca, Nevada to Darlene V. Patrick and Stan McGuire. A few years later Darlene married Vernal R Butcher and he adopted Debra and her younger brother.

Debra was an upbeat person that always liked to get the families together. She loved to sing, dance and waterski from and early age. She strongly believed in the family bond and loving framework that her mother darlene had started. She was definitely a social butterfly that Always brightened a room.

She attented Bonnville High School in Roy, Utah and worked as a Candy Striper when not in school. She moved to Lone, Washington graduating from Selkirk High School in May of 1974. Working at a popular local restrauant as a waitress she meet Jerry F. Beacham. They married and had 2 children Cody, and Kyle.

Debra moved down to Ogden, Utah to be closer to her mother and father. Eventually in 1981 she moved down to Lake Havasu City to join two of her sisters. In Lake Havasu she began working as a prosthetic technician helping the disabled and amputees. Debra also worked as a waitreess at night to support her two children.

Eventually, her love for all types of activities would lead her to the love of her life. One night while bowling she was introduced to Andrew P. Grimes, and avid bowler and an owner of a construction company in Parker, Arizona. They began to date and instantlly fell in love. They married on August 12, 1989 in Ogden, Utah. After getting married, Debra moved to Parker with her husband and began a career at Parker Unified School District. Working at Wallace Elementary she worked with the mentally and physically challanged children. Debra was a natural motivator and teacher. Unfortunately, after years of pain from numerous medical conditions forced her to retire early. She continued to keep herself an active homemaker with crafts, home decorating and dedicated to raising her two children.

Debra is survived by her husband, Andrew Grimes, Her two sons, Cody and Kyle Beacham, Traci Grimes her daughter, her brothers Phil, Ray, Robert, and Val Butcher, and steve and Scott Mcguire, her sisters, Cathy Bishop, Cheri Brown, Bonnie Madsen and Christy Ramos, and five grandchildren Andrew, Kali, Julian and Reese Beacham and Rhiannon Grimes. Even on her way out of this world she was helping others as an organ donor. She will be dearly missed.

Debbie,Debbie, Debbie....What a spark plug you were!! You moved into our neighborhood with your 2 good looking sisters and little punk brother and your Mother(mine 2nd Mom) and what a great addition to our our hood. Before you know it, I was fighting my good friend Newell over you and we fought until we both were balling!! The next thing I know I became very close to your little punk brother Val..and we remain best friends to this day!
You will always be in my thoughts and memories..Love Marc S. Robins

I miss you everyday Mom!

I will always cherish my friendship with my childhood friend "Debbie." We grew up in the same neighborhood and loved to pal around together non-stop. I loved Debbie for her love of life. She was always active, athletic and bubbly. We spent hours and hours together walking on our hands, hanging from the monkey bars, doing front and back flips and singing and dancing on our way home from Mar Lons Elementary school. She was good at everything she tried to do. I admit I was a little jealous when she could walk on her hands UP and DOWN the stairs without ever falling. She tried and tried to help me --what a true friend! We also attended L.D.S. Primary and Young Women's together. We loved to sing the hymns and even sang together in sacrament meeting. Throughout the years we kept in touch with letters. She told me all about Andy and her two boys Cody and Kyle who were the love of her life. While she lived in Arizona and I lived in Utah, we were unable to get together very often. I miss her. I look forward to the day when we can meet again in Heaven. I am grateful for her life, her friendship and her example.

I met Deb when we were 7 years old at Marlon Elementary. She was always such a fun cute girl. I was a candy striper with her, she taught me the ropes. What a special spirit she was. God bless you and your family.

What a wonderful tribute to a great girl! Thanks Andy, Cody and Kyle for doing such a beautiful job on the obituary and service. I'm sure Deb loved it! Thanks also Andy for taking such good care of Deb these past few years when she was so miserable with her health issues. She is no longer in pain and it is truly a blessing even though she'll be greatly missed. We love you Deb and will look forward to seeing you again. Love, Val, Jan and Family
