Debra Lekas Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 31, 2025.
Debra Sue Lekas, 76, passed away on February 27, 2025, in Morristown, Tennessee. Born on June 14, 1948, in Pleasantville, New York, Debra lived a life marked by resilience, warmth, and a deep appreciation for the joys of family and friendship.

Known affectionately to many as Debi, she was a fun-loving spirit who found happiness in the company of those she cared about. Her laughter and energy brought light to gatherings, and her presence was a source of comfort and joy to those around her. Christmas held a special place in her heart-she delighted in the season's magic and took great pleasure in admiring the festive decorations that adorned her neighborhood each year.

Debi had a fondness for good food and simple pleasures. Lobster tail was her favorite indulgence, with chicken coming in as a close second. These small delights were part of how she embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude.

In the final years of her life, Debi faced numerous medical challenges. Despite these hardships, she demonstrated remarkable strength and determination. She fought valiantly through each obstacle with courage and grace, never losing her spirit or will to persevere.

Debra Sue Lekas leaves behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who mourn her passing.
