I just found out that Debbie past away from suffering from cancer so soon after Brucie died on February 9th. My deepest sympathy to both children. This is horrendous to lose both parent in 4 months. Please keep those memories of good times as a great family

My heart is breaking for you, Shannon, for Bruce and your family. We all loved her so much. She was just the best person ever. Her smile was radiant, her hospitality was first class and she always had that special touch for everything. Little did I know that moving next door to the McLanahans in 2000 would be the best 6 years of my life. Your mom and I planted many flowers together and spent nights in the driveway at the end of our day drinking a cocktail. She always invited me to your parties and made me feel so welcomed. Your dad always liked talking stocks and politics and picking up golf balls in the yard. I don't know how many he collected over the years but it was neat to see him add another when it came flying across the road. I have such great memories of your parents. Your mom was so special to me and I loved her dearly. She will be missed and it will be hard. I pray for comfort, for peace knowing she's no longer in pain, for strength and God's loving arms to surround you during these very tough times.

I had the pleasure of working with Deb in the Lt. Governor's office. A terrible shock that she and Bruce have gone.
