Debra Robbins Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Aug. 2 to Aug. 3, 2022.
Debra "Debbie" Lee Ross-Robbins, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt passed away on Saturday July 23, 2022 surrounded by her family at 69 years of age.

Debbie will be forever remembered by her daughter's Brandie (Tony) and Christie (Dennis), her twin sister Linda (Russ), her younger sister Pam, her older brother Richard, her grandchildren (Christian, Tyler, Trey, and Alayna), many nieces (Diane, Carrie, Angie, Vickie, Meredith, Allison) nephew (Tony), and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.

Debbie was born March 27, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Richard and Edith Ross (McCabe). Debbie was known for her spirited personality, huge heart, love for her family, and her willingness to help others. As a mom, Debbie coached softball, was a Brownie troop leader, and cared immensely for her daughters. She was a kind hearted soul with a lively, fun loving personality. It could be said the Debbie loved to love on people. She lived her life with a willingness to give the shirt off of her own back to any stranger in need.

She was hair stylist for many years and continued in life using her artistic talents through From sewing, drawing, painting, and gardening. Her smile and contagious laugh would lighten up any room. In her final days Debbie wanted to pass along these final words:

"Do the research and find your own spiritual path. Always believe in yourself, you can do anything! Be at peace and quit judging each other. Lastly, don't smoke!"

"When I Must Leave You"

When I must leave you for a little while,

Please do not grieve and shed wild tears

And hug your sorrow to you you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile;

And for my sake in God's name,

Live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways.

Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; And never, never be afraid to die,

For I am waiting for you in the sky!
