Delbert Gene Sutton 78, passed away September 27, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Peg Franken Sutton; daughter, Linda Sherwood and son, Delbert, Jr; grandchildren, Dallas and Shane Sherwood, and Sky, Elyssa, Sal, and Trisha; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Bella; two step-children, Polly Hutnik and Patrick Nash; and two step-grandchildren, Noah and Abby. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Rose, and sons, William and Robert. Del worked as a commercial artist, technical illustrator, photographer, and later for 24 years as Art Director for KGUN 9 in Tucson. He had a later career as a watercolor artist and was very active in the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild and the Southwest League of Fine Art; his beautiful paintings of Tucson landmarks and landscapes were exhibited in many local shows. Del will be most remembered for his generosity, thoughtfulness, and sensitivity; he was always eager to help neighbors, friends, and family. His sweet presence will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know him, and by friends and family who loved him. No formal services. A life celebration will be held in October.

I loved my cousin Del so very much, and I will miss him even more. Del came back into my life in the last 16 years when I found Del and his brothers Merrille and Doug. My husband Buck (who passed away September 2006) and I got to visit with Del and to go a few places with him, and we had such a good time together. I feel so blessed to have had Del in my life, as he was such a talented artist and as a person he was the best. Del always made me feel so good just talking with him, Del was so happy that Peggy came into his life.
He will be missed

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the crossing over of Del. He was a "bright light" to all who knew him. His smile and presence would light up a room. My heart goes out to his wife and family.

My memories of Mr. Sutton are so wonderful. I am fortunate to have a picture he painted ,in my hallway. He did this for me on my birthday one year. My heart goes out to the family . I feel blessed to have had so many years , mostly as a child , to share the road of life with such a wonderful man.
I send my love to all in the family in this time of sorrow.
Love,
April Bull
