Dear Sweet Nephew our DJ #1...my heart is broken in pieces. I never would have thought that we would have loss any of you. Our family will never be the same, but I trust that you are with loved ones and we now have another guardian angel to watch out for the family. I love you DJ. I prayed for y’all every night, even though we didn’t see you guys too often....I will miss you, and I want you to know that I was always proud of you. You were one of the GOOD ones. Watch over your parents, baby sister and the rest of us. We will meet again one day. Until then...tell Grandma Gladys and aunt Darlene hello and give them a hug for me. Love you forever DJ.

I remember Nancy bringing DJ to CES as a baby. As he grew up Odie would watch him sometimes in the library and often I would be in there horsing around with him. I watched him grow and play football and become a water boy for EFHS. He always had a smile on his face. My son loved DJ as well. David played for EFHS and DJ added his wit and smile to Friday nites. Then having to opportunity to coach him at SCCS was icing on the cake. I can only say that he was a beautiful human being from a beautiful family who I love dearly. DJ will be greatly missed by players, family, and friends. I know I will miss his smile and always eating
