Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 24, 2024.
Denise Setticasi, 86, passed away on September 9, 2024, in Boynton Beach, Florida. She was born in Montreal on November 4, 1937, and moved to Florida in the 80s. Denise's life was marked by her deep personal faith and unwavering work ethic. She dedicated her life to God and her children.

Denise began her career as a seamstress, helping to support her young family with her skilled craftsmanship. Her career evolved over the years, and she later joined her son, Steve, at Josie's Ristorante in Boynton. There, she played a versatile role, working tirelessly behind the bar, occasionally in the kitchen, and in the front of the house. Known for her resilience and strength, Denise was a formidable presence, always ready to share her love of Jesus in any situation.

In her personal time, Denise was devoted to her faith, studying the Bible daily. Her other passions were spending time with her grandchildren, reading, crocheting and music.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sebastiano Setticasi; her parents, Napoleon Rivet and Juliette Berthiaume; and her siblings, Andre and Lison.

Denise was the beloved mother of Emanuel, Teresa, Steve (Stephanie), and Eric and grandmother to Dominique, Melissa, Sebastian, Ava, Alexis, Sebastiano, Dante, Matthew, Gabriella, Dominic, Gianna and George. She also leaves behind her brother, Lucien and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life is planned to honor Denise's memory and legacy. Her life's influence and cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. It will be held on Monday, September 30th at 4 pm at 6897 North Ocean Blvd, Ocean Ridge, FL 33435.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. The coca-cola "whiskeys" and pirouline "cigars," the SNL vhs tapes and dance parties. No matter what happened in life you always wore a smile and kept everybody laughing. We will love you and miss you always.

If you knew grandma you know how much she loved the dollar store. When she worked at the restaurant she used to take my brother and I to the dollar store across the street and give us each five dollars to spend. Getting five toys made us feel sooo rich! Then she´d give us cappuccinos with the rock sugar sticks and our favorite treat- toast with brown sugar. I´ll miss her!
