TOMPKINS, Denise In her 68th year, peacefully passed away at Sunnybrook Hospital on Sunday, March 4, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Denise, beloved sister of Bob, Paul, Len and Terry. Sister-in-law to Barbara, Joanne, the late Mary Tompkins and brother-in-law Stuart Ballantyne. Aunt to Sharon, Steven, Donna, Amy, Sarah, Christine and Maddy. Great-aunt to Amy, Jessica, Allison, Devon, Kordell, Joshua, Jacob, Sadie and Layla. A special thank you to longtime dear friend Pamela Savage who led her and our family through this difficult medical journey. Many thanks to Dr. Ko and Jan Stewart and the wonderful staff at Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre and Palliative Care Unit for their kindness and compassion in the care of our sister. Visitation at the PAUL O'CONNOR FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. (between Warden and Pharmacy) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Bonaventure Church, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre or the family would appreciate Sunnybrook Palliative Care Unit.

On behalf of our family we are saddened to hear of the news of Denise's passing. We met with her in several open houses and enjoyed conversations on the community, real estate and welcoming thoughts about Christmas when she delivered her beautiful calendars to our front door.
