Mrs. Budd, Laura & Sarah,
My deepest sympathies to each of you. May fond memories and God's grace sustain you as you adjust to life without Mr. Budd's presence. His heart of selfless service will be appreciated and remembered always. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I have such fond memories of coming over to your house as a young girl. It was such a fun, inviting place to be!
May you feel comfort from the wonderful memories you made together as a family and from such an amazing life he lived.

You are now in peace. You experienced a lot of heartache and you carried that with you into eternity.

As firefighter and friend, I'm saddened for your loss. Dennis set the example for all firefighters to follow, he was a firefighters firefighter. God bless Dennis and his family.

I'm so sorry for your loss the chief was a great friend

We were so very sorry to learn of Dennis’s passing. We were acquainted with Dennis and his equally charming wife, Nancy, from South Cape beach at Cape Cod. It seemed like everyone was always stopping by their chairs to chat for a few minutes. Dennis had this spark that invited people to want to say “hello!” and he conveyed an interest that made us stay and talk. His big smile will be missed.

I would like to say how sorry I was to hear of Dennis passing. I knew him from South Cape beach. He and Nancy were always so nice to talk to. They always made you feel they we’re truly interested in what you had to say. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Dennis and Nancy on the beach in Mashpee. Always looked forward to seeing them each summer. He was such a caring man. Nancy, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dennis was a great person may he rest in piece with god.

Nancy, Laura, and Sarah, I am sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of hanging out on Wakefield Street after hours of dance class at Charlotte Klein. He was a wonderful man who loved his family so much. I am thinking of all of you. May the wonderful memories of him comfort you in this time of mourning.

Precious neighbor memories of Dennis and Nancy here in Englewood FL. I am sorry to hear of his passing! Dennis and Nancy meant so much to me. I am praying for the family and friends as well. He was an awesome man! Hugs to you Nancy!

I’m sure most people called him dad, gramps, good friend, Dennis, chief but us from the Village knew him as Buzz. That red “flattop” buzz cut (no fenders) was his trademark back in the day. We remained best friends thru the years but the days growing up in the “village” will always be remembered by me as the best. Buzz’s life was one of a true American success story.

I met chief Budd many years ago when I was chief photographer for the old TV 27. Having worked many fires with him as he rose in rank. After leaving Worcester I had the opportunity to talk to Chief Budd and was pleasantly surprised he remembered me.

We use to see Dennis and his wife Nancy on the beach in Mashpee after we moved there from Worcester back in 2001. Dennis and I talked on the beach about The Worcester tragedy that happened at cold storage and later in 2001 after the trade center in New York was attacked where so many firefighters were trapped and killed. I could see how much it bothered him. I was fortunate to meet and spend some time with him and pray for his wife and family. My son and his wife are also firefighters in Massachusetts and I am so proud to have met Him...Rest in peace
