Dennis Ray Cox

Sorry to read of Dennis' passing. I first met him at the Matthew Stacy Telethon and we kept in touch over the years. Most recently he had invited me to visit him in Florida for a fishing trip; I wish I could have made that happen before he left us. Deepest sympathies to Erin, his children and all who knew and loved him.

Erin, We were so sorry to hear of Dennis' passing. We truly enjoyed what time we had to spend with the both of you and are so thankful for our parents 50th anniversaries when we had the opportunity to enjoy a week together. I have read such wonderful things about Dennis and know you will truly miss his spirit of adventure. He was always there for people's times of need. Such an honorable quality. Nay your many wonderful memories keep you strong, and in time, bring you peace. Our thoughts and prayers remain with you.

Dennis was the best. He did so much for Bedford Township that will not be forgotten - from the 101 Dalmations, to the water hose fight he organized for community days, and the fund raiser for the little girl with cancer from Smith Rd. Elementary just to mention a few. He was always there to help those in need. He will be missed. My prayers are with you.

Dennis blew into town after Hurricane Ivan and was a true Godsend to our community! He will be greatly missed but always remembered. Our deepest sympathy to Erin and family.

We are so sorry for your loss. We were in shock to hearing that he is gone. I had the honor of working with him at one stop. you all are in our prayers.

We will miss you Dennis! You were a great friend to us and have helped us in so many ways. We will miss your wit, your stories and that magnetic personality! We will cherish all of the memories! We feel blessed to have been so close to you in your final days on this earth! May God be with Erin and your entire family at this difficult time!

I will always remember Dennis` smile when he would stop to say hi while we were visiting at mom and dads house (Janet and Tommy Lord) and when the kids would rush to help him carry the fireworks to the end of the pier on the 4th of July. I knew Dennis back in my EMS days in the 80's. My condolences to the Cox family on your loss.

He was a good man and I will miss him

Hi Erin, I cannot even begin to understand why things happen as they do. I'll just cherish all the fun times that you, Dennis and I had selling ambulances and fighting fires. He was truly a "character"....

I only knew Dennis a year and I did not know any of his family. I will never forget the man that went to bat for me in a way that nobody ever has. If he was your friend you knew it. I feel honored to have had him as a friend. I hope the family can take some joy in knowing how much people thought of him. I pray his family has peace.

For us,the Freytez'family have been a great shock. We still do not understand why happened. Our memories goes to a strong Dennys always jocking against me for been older than he,last time in Pensacola we walked in a shopping center and he said loudly,so people could hear, "hey grandpa".That was him.We all shared great moments here in Venezuela and US.My sons and daughter made a close mix with him. I share this to all you,specially to Erin and Dennys'son and daugthers,so you can imagine how we feel.We were fire chiefs at that time,in Caracas and Lambertville.Later I was in charge of National Civil Defense and I called Dennys for advise in heavy equipment.He visited Venezuela many times. During the 1997 earthquake,he was aside with me.They (Erin and Dennys)were at my son'wedding in Vegas.Lately my other son who lives in Beijing shared with him his trips to China.Last week we talked for last time. Our sincere condolences to all his family,we remember him forever.
