Dennis,
You were like a father to me when I had no one. Your guidance, strength, and unwavering presence meant more than words can express. I learned so much by your side, and I will carry that wisdom forward.
Thank you for believing in me, for your loyalty, and for the quiet ways you stood beside me when the world was too loud. I hope you´ve found peace, and I´ll keep your memory close as I walk this path.
With gratitude and love,
Samantha

I am sorry to read about Dennis's passing. Our friendship went back many years, to high-school tennis at Mather (Dennis played at #1), to my brief sojourn in law school, to bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings, birthdays, and other social occasions. I knew the family well, Ted, Ruth, Bobbie (the doctor) and Rhonda, and the corner bungalow near the tennis courts, which I still think of as the Fields home. Dennis was an unusual combination of legal smarts with a top-spin backhand. His back problems prevented him from achieving more in tennis, but his talent for wisecracks remained. He could be tough in business, they say, but underneath it all he was a sweet guy. (I would never tell him that, except sarcastically.) May he rest in peace and his memory be a blessing to us all.
