Denand I met at public grammar school 88 in 1960. After graduation, we went to Arlington high school (there was no middle school in those days). Den´s younger brother Bobby, was correct. Academics took a backseat to drag racing our 1950s automobiles and wrestling. One of my favorite memories with Dennis occurred when we traveled to Las Vegas together in 1973. We attended the Ann Margaret show and she came over and spoke to us at our table.

Dennis and I were roommates for 18 years and subsequently shared mutually inclusive social circles for several decades. As space and time will not permit chronicling the massive volume of life experiences we shared during that time and beyond, I do want to share some memorable highlights of which, I believe, Dennis would have approved. Dennis, myself and Nancy all exited the chute and took up immediate residency at 167 Adair Street in Long Beach, CA along with Dad and Mom and lived within walking distance of the beaches of the Pacific Ocean. Long Beach, coupled with a year around air temperature of 75 degrees, consistently low humidity, sunshine, sea breezes, sandy beaches and blues skies, and brother, we made the most of it.
If you haven´t traveled Route 66 - with occasional deviations from the west and east ends, between Long Beach and Bloomfield/Indianapolis, you haven´t lived. We did it often to visit Dad´s family and eventually relocated permanently to Indianapolis. What followed was a kaleidoscope of guitars, drums, elementary school, high school, friends, fast cars, homework, girls, music, sports, garage bands, a whole lot of wrestling, a whole lot of football at the water tower, a spider monkey, broken bones, the most spectacular family holiday gatherings ever, the Army, I.U.P.U.I., revamped social circles and on and on, all of this without ever even scratching the surface. This is just a thimble full. Dennis, I miss you, I love you more than you will ever know. I hope you´re playing pitch and catch with Dad often and hugging Mom frequently! As usual, when we meet again, you will get the first takedown! Your loving and little brother, Bobby.

One of my favorite memories is how excited Dennis, Bobby and Nancy would be when we came to visit. Dad would buy fast food, a real treat, something they rarely got. Hamburgers, French fries and root beer, enough for seconds if they wanted them. Once everyone was fed, we´d listen to grandma, aunt Margie and dad talk about their time in Hawaii before WWll. Happy times and good memories!

Gone too soon. Dennis was always a huge support in my darkest days and a joy in my brightest. I will miss our talks, lunches, movies and laughter. I will miss him for the rest of my life. Rest in Peace dear brother. I love you.

I always looked forward to our visits with Dennis and all our family in Indiana. One of my favorite memories was going to the Indy 500 track and getting to ride in a pace car around the track. Our reunion in Hawaii for his mom and my Aunt Margie´s memorial will always warm my heart. The wonderful stories he told about our families, I could have listened for hours. Godspeed cousin.

He always made me smile when he´d say I reminded him of Jennifer Aniston from the Friends era Such a loving soul. Uncle Dennis will be on our hearts and deeply missed by many.
