Mrs. Karp and Family,

I am very sorry for your loss. I’ll always remember Dennis’ humor above all else. He put us at ease as our DI judge and was a lot of fun to be around. As I recall he tried to buy me a beer at the bowling alley when I was about 17, I think my mom yelled at him but couldn’t get the grin off his face. He will be missed.

My thoughts are with you

Sue and family: I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I will always fondly remember Denny at the local softball games - he was always smiling and having a good time. I'm sure he and Sherm are playing softball on the grandest of fields and sharing stories of the good ol' days! My husband, Jason, and I will keep you and your family in our thoughts as you go through this difficult time.

Sue and family, I am so very sorry for your "Great Loss". Dennis was an amazing person and an absolute pleasure to be around. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Dennis coached me in softball for quite a few years. I loved being on his team and have great memories of the fun, hard work and especially the "Victories". I will never forget his easy smile and great sense of humor. Take care and God bless you all!

Sue and family: Was so sorry to hear about Denny. We worked many projects together through the VFW and none of them were small. When a challenge came up he was always the first to take it by the hand and lead it the right way. As for Post Commanders there been many all of them are good but Denny rated way above that cause he led with his heart and it was awful big. Was never afraid to disagree and never afraid to speak his mind. I'll miss him dearly as will many i'm sure.. Take care all Carol

Dear Susan & family:

Dennis was a very real 'challenge MASTER', whether in D.I. or in life. He inspired so many people by being so positive and upbeat. May the Lord, the just judge, reward him with the crown of righteousness (2 Tim 4, 7)

Sue,

Dennis was a wonderful man who always had a kind word to share or a story to tell. His laughter brought joy and happiness to everyone who came in contact with him.

I remember traveling with him to VFW meetings and how he would always make it an enjoyable trip no matter what the circumstance.

My thoughts are you with you and your family.

Mrs. Karp and family

I am so sorry to see that Mr. Karp has passed away. He had survived so much since the accident when I was your student at Lincoln Elementary in Scanlon. The strength and courage that your family showed at that time I am sure is coming through again during this sad time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Sue and family,

Words are inadequate to express my deep sadness over the loss of Dennis. I had never seen him complain or be unpleasant even in the midst of suffering. He was generous with his laugh. He thought of others before himself. He will be terribly missed.

My thoughts are with you all.

Your friend,

Paul Sanford MD
