Dear Mahoneys,
I'm saddened to hear about Denny. I only met him a couple of times (for the documentary,) but I was in awe of his work promoting organ donation. His message will live on and many lives will be saved because of his work.

The world is a sadder place without Denny. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. Denny was always such a surprise for me. It has been years since he would surprise me by showing up in Mankato at my dormitory door for a visit. We had more fun all those years ago. Thanks to Mike and my sister for putting two and two together. He will be missed because he was so loved. God speed, Denny.

Within the last couple of weeks I told Denny
who was eating soup at Lucias'
that he looked good.. and meant it ..
his aura was positive.. perhaps serene
He said ... " you look great yourself "
I saw Denny frequently since coming back ( 2009 ) from a ten year hiatus in Costa Rica.
Always brief encounters
I saw him go through his metamorphosis with dignity and grace ..
He embraced it and I applaud him for that.
Farewell friend ..
I encourage you all to read the poem " Ithaca "
Positive energy to
Dennys' family
friends, & colleagues

I spent many a morning with Denny and his coffee and newspaper. Of all the pearls of wisdom, good natured, off handed barbs, and genuine conversation I think I'll thank him most for making me check that little box on my MN driver's license application reading "ORGAN DONOR".
Denny you make me smile.
