Because of the radio ad "come on back to church, my Brother, come on back!" This resonated in my Spirit back in 2001. I heeded the voice and visited Renaissance. There i met Bishop McMurray! What a blessing and an inspiration to met a real man of God! He would call me when i missed church, it that really blessed me. Many years have gone by, but he played an important role in me surrendering my life to Christ. I am now a Believer, Servant and Kingdom Advancer. It all started with "Come on back to church, my Brother, come on Back!"
Well done Bishop, well done!

Bishop McMurray stood above the crowd as a clergy, a family man, a civic leader and a public servant. His legacy will remain forever with his many survivors. He, along with his wife, personally assisted me during an emergency.

Bishop McMurray was a family friend, fraternity brother, college roommate, and personal confidant. He meant so much to my wife and I. Words cannot express the sadness that we feel, yet we are overcome with joy knowing that he is resting with the lord. Reunited with his daughter and father.

Rest now my friend, you did the work, and earned the crown. Your legacy will live on forever. We will always miss your presence, but never the wisdom and advice you gave. You were a true friend, fraternity brother, and pastor. Until we meet again........

Our condolences to Jean and the kids, thanks for sharing Dennis with us for all these years.....Larry and Christina Johnson. GVSU 82 & 83

Bishop Dennis McMurray was my undergraduate student assistant while at GVSU. It was very evident that he was "blessed" and had a very bright future. We had the opportunity of hosting Bayard Rustin (civil rights leader) and coordinating the subsequent events scheduled for Grand Valley State University and Fountain Street Church. My sincere condolences to the family.
