Dennis J. McNally

McNally, Dennis J. Passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on June 1, 2016, surrounded by his family. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, infant grandson Sean Patrick, and beloved cousin Paul Fox and brother-in-law Louis Jones. Dennis will be lovingly remembered by his best friend and wife of more than 49 years, Kathleen (nee Jones), their five children, Elizabeth, Daniel (Maribeth), Maureen (Kevin Reichert), Patrick (Sarah), and Michael (Beth), and 13 grandchildren, Margaret, Caroline, Ryan, Anna, and William McNally, Lauren and Olivia Reichert, Kealan, Delaney, Charles, and Miles McNally, and Norah and Leo McNally. Dennis will also be missed by his brother, John (Susan), several siblings-in-law, honorary brother Peter (Mary Lou) Hansen, quite literally scores of McNally, Fox, Jones, and Weinfurter cousins, nieces, and nephews, and countless friends and colleagues. A lifelong Wauwatosa resident, Dennis was born in 1941 to Daniel and Jeannette (Fox) McNally. The family belonged to St. Jude the Apostle parish, where he attended grade school. Dennis then "went east" for further education: Marquette University High School (Class of 1960), Marquette University School of Engineering ('65), and Marquette University Law School ('71). He was a proud "3M-er" and Triangle Fraternity member. Dennis began his professional career as a mechanical engineer with Kearney and Trecker Co. in Milwaukee. He then attended law school and spent the next 45 years practicing business law, the majority of that time at McNally Peterson, S.C., a firm he co-founded in 1988. Among other school, church, neighborhood, and business community involvements, Dennis was an active board member of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc. for more than 40 years. Visitation at ST. JUDE THE APOSTLE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 734 Glenview Ave., Wauwatosa on Thursday, June 9th from 3:00 PM concluding with a family prayer at 7:00 PM. Friends may also gather again on Friday, June 10th, at the church, from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Private committal Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, feel free to send donations in Dennis' memory to the Sean Patrick McNally Fund c/o the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, or Red Cloud Indian School-Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota.
