Dennis Myers

Dennis Gary "Tex" Myers, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in Apache Junction, Arizona, at the age of 81. He was born on June 15, 1943, in Traverse City, Michigan, to Robert and Elsie Myers. Dennis spent his formative years in and around San Bernardino, California, where he graduated from San Bernardino High School.

Dennis and Barbara grew up in Muscoy, California. Though life initially took them in different directions after high school, they later reunited and shared 35 wonderful years together.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Michele and Vicky; stepdaughters, Barbara and Vicki; grandchildren, Drew, Trevor, Tara, Kenna, Ryan, Alea, Lily, Vance R., Megan, and Shelby; great-grandchildren, Knox, Rae, and Ruby; his sister, Carla Rosenkild; nieces, Leah and Leanna; nephews, Brian, Mike, and Evan; and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Denny Rosenkild.

Dennis was the proud owner of Sierra Screenprint & Graphics for over 40 years. He had a passion for golf with friends, fishing, antique car shows, Route 66 events, trains, traveling across the United States, and home improvement projects. With Barbara's help-and occasional assistance from sons-in-law Kurt and Dean-he built a beautiful backyard deck and designed and built the interior walls for the new graphics shop. He had a deep appreciation for American Indian art and history, often immersing himself in books on the subject. His creativity and artistic spirit shone through in all aspects of his life.

A private family service will be held in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dementia Society in his memory at www.DementiaSociety.org/donate.
