Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 22, 2024.
Dennis Wayne Nelson Sr. entered this world on September 19th, 1949, in Oakland, CA, and departed on January 9th, 2022. He was born to Jesse and Shirley Nelson and was the beloved sibling of Thomas, Beverly, Bill, Joanne, and Jeff. Following his graduation from Ygnacio Valley High School in Concord, CA, in 1967, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served from 1968 to 1972. Dennis is fondly remembered by his five children: Dennis Jr., Justin, Andrea, Julia, and Melinda. He was also cherished as a grandfather by Ariana, Jacob, Wyatt, Andrew, Adrian, Alex Jr, and Tyla. Dennis's passion for music was lifelong, and he mastered the guitar, piano, and harmonica, holding a special admiration for The Beatles. His absence leaves an irreplaceable void, and he will be deeply missed.
