We met the Patrick's at Gulf Waters RV resort in Port Aransas, TX. The four of us drove down near the Mexico border and bought pottery 2 different years. We enjoyed numerous times with Dennis and Leslie. We will miss you both and wish Leslie comfort in this lonely journey ahead. Bill n Naomi Watts

My mom (Joyce), his eldest sister- said that Uncle Butch (Dennis) was always quietly reading somewhere as a child, and they often had to call him. She said that often he was hiding behind or in Grandma Aggie's corner chair reading- that he always had a book. And, she remembers that he didn't like vegetables as a child; Grandpa Joe tried to get him to eat vegetables all the time. And, she said that Grandpa Joe called him Gorgeous George, because he was such a beautiful child with curly hair.

Uncle Butch (Dennis) was always nice to his numerous nieces and nephews. My brother Patrick said that Uncle Butch was always kindhearted and a wonderful uncle.

May choirs of angels accompany Uncle Butch to Paradise where he will be with Jesus and all the angels and saints. God Bless his family. Love and Prayers, Lisa, his goddaughter and niece.

When I was in high school I was in band and marching band. Whenever the band had Memorial Day parades or the Veterans Day parade in St. Johns, the band members would have to shake the veterans hands. I remember he´d wink and smile whenever I shook his hand.
