Dennis N Reedy

Retired pastor Dr. Dennis Reedy, aged 81, went to be with the Lord, June 28, 2025. Dennis was born in West Milton, PA. Dennis attended seminary at United Seminary and earned his D.Min. from Christian Higher Education and Religious Studies. In 1970, he was appointed to serve the East Canton Charge, consisting of East Canton, West Franklin, and Windfall United Methodist Churches. During his time as a U.M. pastor he served 4 other UM churches and held office on several boards with various community groups. He was recognized through the UMC for promoting Ecumenical involvement. In retirement, he was an active member of the Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, his sister, as well as his children, grandchildren, and multiple extended family members. As a person who cared about others, his final act was to donate his organs. A public celebration of life service will be held at Gospel Tabernacle, Assembly of God church in Philipsburg, PA, on Saturday, July 19, beginning at 2:30 pm with visitation and viewing of a video, filmed by Lynne Wheldon, of Canton, in close collaboration with Steven Hallman and Carol Bruch. The worship service will begin at at 3:30 followed by a light supper. To honor Denny's request, the family is asking guests to wear colorful clothing, and to represent resurrection, butterfly accessories, if you have them. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Carter Foundation or Global Teen Challenge.
