Denny and I shared a very special relationship as family "twins". His grandmother was 3rd eldest and my father was the youngest of 10 children. Denny and I were born same day, same year: May 3, 1944. Over the years we had long conversations about family history and family experiences, especially at the farm near Kenyon, Minnesota, where his grandmother and my father grew up.

Mr. Cool, that is how I will remember Denny. As a fraternity brother, as a friend and golfing together. You are missed.

I will always remember our one-on-one Scrabble games every time Denny came to Minneapolis for a visit. I had the gameboard all set up in advance. Who won the game was of no concern. We just had to play that game, and it was always fun!

I first met Dennis and Maureen when their son was my student at Los Cerros Middle School. It was always a joy to see them. Later, my husband Gordon and I met them through the golf group with Sirs. We enjoyed many golf outings and happy times. May treasured memories comfort both Maureen and Justin - with happy hugs to you both. Margaret and Gordon Batesole

Denny was my Big Brother when I pledged the TKE Fraternity at Mankato. I was fortunate to spend a few minutes with him at our summer TKE meeting last August. I will never forget our College experience together. Rest in Peace brother.

Dennis was always a salt of the earth man with a funny story or solution to a problem. I will always remember him enjoying the ball games in Palm Springs and excited for the low score he was going to shoot on his next round of golf. His character and legacy live on in Justin or (JR) to him. My families and my condolences to Maureen, Justin and all his family. Andrew Starke

Dennis,
I worked with you since 1984.
We sailed to Sam´s in Tiburon the day before the earthquake in 1989.
Great memories and Sales Calls along the way.
You are sorely missed my friend
Bless you and your family

Sorry to hear of Dennis's sudden passing. I met Dennis as a fellow member of SIRS Branch 8 about 7 years ago. We played golf most Thursdays together and often carpooled to the course together. Loved the discussions about Formula 1, politics, sports, and our working careers.

Very sad to hear this news. I had the pleasure of working with Dennis and he served as a mentor to me when I started out with 3M company. He was a great guy and I send my condolences, thoughts and prayers to him and his family!

Dennis was a very special friend and neighbor who was kind, warm, decent, thoughtful, and generous. We always looked forward to seeing him for long chats about everything after which you felt happy, positive and had a smile on your face. Dennis had that effect on all of us. What an honor to have known Dennis. We will miss him immensely and he will always be in our hearts,
Sending our love and deepest sympathy to Maureen and Justin.

Dennis was our neighbor in Alamo for roughly 32 years. He was always a friendly and generous person and friend, ready to talk or help with anything at the drop of a hat. He seemed to love his life, his family and his friends and was always positive, no matter the topic or challenge. We will miss him dearly.

One of my many favorite memories of Uncle Denny took place up at the cabin on East Twin Lake. I remember Denny (who called me Tweeter Pie) and me lying on our backs on the dock at night, and him teaching me the names of the stars and constellations. Even then as a child, I knew how special that was.
I was always so excited to see Denny, and I know that's because he cared. He always made an effort and took interest in me and my life. I will miss him dearly.
Love,
Michele (Tweeter Pie)

Even though I was in a different division at 3M, Dennis was always available for help, advice and friendship. He will surely be missed
