I want to echo what everyone else has said: genuinely wonderful man. Denny and I were on the track team together, went to Luke F-4 RTU in the same class, and enjoyed running into each other over the decades. He was a great friend, especially during Jean's illness and after her passing. I will miss our visits. Rest in Peace, Dr. Sbach.

USAFA classmates ('72), F-4 pilots together, lifelong friends. Our paths crossed numerous times over the years and each time was a special memory. Dennis was truly one of the "good guys." My wife Kris and I will miss him greatly.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Kathleen and Zack.

Dennis and I began USAF Pilot Training 52 years ago and have been friends ever since. We continued to Luke AFB to train on the F-4 and on to Lakenheath AB, UK for 2 years. We skied Austria together and Ran the Bulls in Pamplona. Dennis was a special friend to me and many others. His level of integrity is second to none. I learned so much from my friendship with Dennis and will miss him terribly.
Got Bless Kathleen, Zach and the rest of Dennis's Family.

Sbachman and I served together in the Air Force at Ramstein AB Germany from 1984-1986. We remained friends ever since always checking up on each other every couple of months. He was a fighter pilot and we shared a brotherhood that only fighter pilots understand! We talked on Veterans Day and were shocked when Gary Kopecky called to inform us of his passing! So many good memories, we will always hold dear. God Bless Sbachman and Kathleen!!

I've only known Dennis for a year and a half. His Kathleen knows my Kathleen through Second Baptist. Dennis graduated from the AFA in '72 and was in the same class as my youngest son's father-in-law, retired General James Jaeger. We men are all Lutherans. The ladies are Baptists. I'm thankful for having known Dennis and am sad that it was only a short period of time. God bless Kathleen and comfort her.

Dennis and Alma were both very dear friends since we first met in Germany in 1981. They visited us wherever we lived, Germany, Ohio, Japan. Always ready to help, Dennis was so proud of his son Zack and his grandson. I learned he had gotten remarried this past spring when I called him to check on him and Zack after some flooding in Houston. I will miss you Dennis! My most sincere condolences to Kathleen and Zack!

As a wife of a fighter pilot, I met Denny when he joined the 4th Tac Fighter Squadron at Hill AFB. We did not call him Dennis but Denny and he was a fun friend. My favorite thing about Denny was his "call sign." His was "Dr. Sbach" a variant of an important character in StarTrek. He was an important "character" in my husband´s squadron!! He was a great friend and super fishing and skiing buddy!
