I was distressed to (belatedly), see that Dennis has passed on. Our time in the Air Force overlapped, and I remember him as an extremely kind, capable and funny guy. "Crash" (don't ask), was a decent human. After all these years, he is remembered and missed.

Dennis was such a sweet man. But as I worked with him in television, I also knew him as a very funny one too. One Saturday night, back around 1986, at Greg and Xiomara Fields´ house, Dennis and Trudy Snee and Eva and I were there for a night of laughs and dinner.
The highlight of the evening was when Greg brought out a scale.
He wanted to see whose head weighed more, mine or Dennis´.
Each of us in turn lay down on the living carpet, Greg put the scale underneath our heads and pronounced our head weight.
The result. Greg ruled that while Dennis´ head was wider, mine was longer and they both weighed the same. I'm still laughing about that over 35 years later. When I was with Dennis, we always laughed.

I served with Lieutenant Snee at McConnell Air Force base in Wichita, Kansas. I worked many times with the Lieutenant in a Titan 2 missile complex in which he was the MCCC (Missile combat crew commander). He was a very nice officer and an excellent commander. He was a very fun guy to work with and had a marvelous sense of humor. I still have found memories of working with this man in the military all these many 43 years ago. God rest your soul Lieutenant.

I had the privilege of working with Dennis on "The Tonight Show;" his talent and wit added SO much to the show and his kindness, decency and soothing presence helped stabilize things during a very turbulent time. I am not sure Dennis ever fully realized the impact he made. My favorite memory of Dennis was a lunch we had with Johnny after the Great Man retired. We had many laughs that day and Dennis said some very hilarious stuff. Later, we agreed few things in this life were as pleasurable as making Johnny Carson laugh, although Dennis quickly listed several other things that were "almost" as pleasurable...none I can possibly share here.
Funny, droll, multi/mega talented, kind, loyal,
loving family man, respected by all who knew him AND movie star handsome! God never gives one man EVERYTHING, but he gave Dennis Michael Snee a very generous helping of "damned-near" EVERYTHING! I wish blessings to his family he loved so very much. There is a passage in an old song about the ould sod which fits Dennis so well: " He knew how to use the lilt of Irish laughter to make the angels sing."
Have the most glorious journey, good man.
