Mr. Dennis R. Tetreault 64, beloved husband of Cathi (Consolini - Lodigiani) Tetreault, died unexpectedly, Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Beverly Hospital. Born in Greenfield, MA, he was the son of the late Richard and Marjorie (Swift) Tetreault. Dennis spent 6 years in the U.S. Air Force. Upon returning from Vietnam, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and his MBA in Finance from Western New England College. He continued his studies earning a certificate in Advance Study Financial Planning from Merrimack College. Dennis had been employed as a financial advisor at Ameriprise Financial in Boston until the time of his retirement. Prior to that he worked at State Street Corporation in Boston as an account controller. Dennis spent 21 years with Hasbro Games, Inc. in Beverly as manager, packaging engineering and in East Longmeadow (Milton Bradley) as a senior project engineer. An accomplished and avid long distance runner, Dennis had run over fifty marathons and ultra-marathons including numerous Boston Marathons with a Boston PR of 2:25.27 when he finished 69th. Dennis was nationally ranked as a top 10 Ultra Marathoner in the 1980s. He was a member of the Winner's Circle Running Club. When not running he was an avid gardener enjoying the hundreds of daylilies in his many gardens and was a member of the New England Day Lily Society. Dennis spent Monday nights square dancing with the Wrong Wayers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Anthony Consolini of Topsfield, his mother-in-law, Pat Lodigiani, a sister-in-law, Gayle Burris and her husband, Bill, a nephew, Graham Burris and a niece, Candice Reedy all of Grandville, OH and his constant companions, Sierra and Smokey. A private service will be held in his memory at the First Congregational Church of Hamilton. Arrangements are by the Campbell - Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Dennis' memory to the Masconomet Regional Scholarship Foundation, c/o Olga Langlois, 20 Endicott Rd., Topsfield, MA 01983 or to any dog rescue organization of your choice.
