Condolences to his family

I've been friends with Dennis for over 30 years. He was always engaging and helpful. He had played drums at my home on several occasions at parties and get togethers. He was a fun person to be around and his passion for his music transcended into his daily life.
I will miss his passion and conversation.
May Peace be with him and his family.

This breaks my heart to no end. What Dennis and the MC5 mean to me cannot be summed up with words. I will always do everything I can to carry on their legacy and what they stood for, thank you for all you've done Dennis KOTJMF!!!!

My condolences.

Denis was a great drummer and the MC5 in my opinion was very special in the eyes of most rock musicians in Detroit. I remember hearing Kick Out the Jams for the first time, I was in 7th grade and my girlfriend who was a year older than me pulled up in my driveway on her Schwin stingray bicycle with transistor radio in her hand and Kick Out the Jams was playing ---- that was a game changer!!! It's hard to believe they are all gone now.

Worked with Dennis many times, first with Ascension, Fred, Michael and MGT's first foray after MC5 ... and all the way through his help with the MC% documentary, a True Testimonial. -- Chato
